Announcement, Health updates, likely September release delay

Progress on The Restoration of Aphrodisia for this month has been slower than I wanted, and for that, I apologize. As mentioned previously, I (JudooTT the developer and writer) have been suffering from herniated discs swelling and pushing against the sciatic nerve in my spine for over a year now. While that condition has improved something new has come up. Since early September now, standing for long periods of time causes very intensely painful pins and needles sensations on both my feet. Combined with my ongoing spinal problems, this has greatly impaired my ability to work for much of September. I'm now seeking a specialist to diagnose for my feet pain, and I'm limiting time both sitting, which causes pain from my spine, and now standing, which causes pain from my feet. A double-whammy.

The quest Journey to the Center-ish of the Earth is still underway and sits at 70 pages of text. This is a "trapped in map until completed" sort of quest, and due to this aspect, it's been tricky pushing out any early bird releases as that would likely get the player stuck in the geode world indefinitely. Our original intention was to complete it for the end of September, but this is currently not a realistic goal as I push onwards with my ongoing health matters.

Another concern is that Steam no longer allows Early Access for games with mature content. Because of this, we're likely going to have to start prioritizing main quests over side quests in order to reach a main-storyline-complete 1.0 paid Steam release.

This means there may need to be more updates to the Adventurer tier, making it be primarily for encounters rather than quests so that the bulk of writing time can be devoted to resolving the main storyline quests and completing core gameplay features in The Restoration of Aphrodisia. This is certainly less than ideal as we've always wanted to actively involve the community in side quest development. Hopefully once the main storyline quest is nearing completion and the game enters a pre-release refinement period we can mix more user-voted side quests back in.

While these are setbacks, we are committed to making Restoration as good of a game as it can be be and are determined to complete it to a level we're happy with that represents the original vision of the game.
