I noticed that part where Itami is being mentioned and I'm like "yes him go to him" but that's true the dark elf doesn't even know what they are saying but the name keeps being mentioned near her. so I guess she knows now who to ask for help 😆

2025-10-10 00:42:55 +0000 UTCRewatching this episode with this reaction here, I'm noticing just how good the writing of this episode is. Tons of great little details. Like how every individual's knowledge/level of the other world's language differs. And how people who deal a lot with the green men tend to be more skillful in their language. But also a lot of small details. Like the constant mentioning of Itami in multiple languages. The dark elf doesn't understand English, but that name just keeps dropping near her and it's framed in such a way that you can see that it reaches her ears. As for women always being prepared to pay with their body... well, that's just the way it is and also in real life. Pretty women are valuable. They can move men to do things that these women simply by offering their body. Not just the promise of sex, but also a promise of perhaps becoming their wife or the mother of their children. Having a child with a beautiful woman increases the chances of getting children that are also perceived as beautiful/handsome, which increases their chances of living a good life and also reproducing themselves. This cycle has been going on for so long that even if you don't consciously want children, men will still pick a female who offers that kind of prospective if given the chance. It's pretty much part of DNA. Of course there's plenty of exceptions, but it's still a feeling somewhere deep inside that influences partner choice.
