I didn't know that about "the moon is so pretty" hahaha 😂 I think his personality is fine, to me he seems like a positive guy or tries to be positive despite all the things he goes through, if it were me I would have broken from the first time lol 😭

Also the saying in Japanese "The moon is so pretty" or "Tsuki ga kirei" is another way of saying "I love you", although since Emilia doesn't know it's origins or that it could even mean that, she doesn't notice the deeper meaning to Subaru's comment, regardless if he meant it that way or not. We've also seen the more childish, awkward side about Subaru a while now, but it's pretty obvious when he starts giving Emilia names like Emilia Major Angel or stuff like that. He's still a little immature and a lot of people dislike that part or dismiss it entirely about his character. He is a teenager though, so it does make sense. It's also worth noting that the new "checkpoint" was set to the point after Betty had sucked out his mana and he blacked out. A lot of reaction channels don't fully notice that part but I'm glad you managed to figure that out. Now the worst part is that we don't know how this "checkpoint" system works, so to say when the "checkpoints" happen. He just went through 5 days of more or less pleasant time but all of that good time was just reset. It must really be scary, not because you died, but because nobody else remembers the good time you had with them. Seeing Subaru's arm and eye at the end 😨
