Remember during the lawless city arc when cid had alot of gold coins when fighting the vampire queen after he robbed the vampire treasury. When deciding what to take from the treasury Cid said that gold coins were more convenient than jewelry so from that moment onwards he doesnt take treasure only gold coins!!!
