Dungeon: Keep Her - Patreon Release - Alpha 0.10

Welcome back, Keepers!

There are just so many new things I'm eager to tell you all about, but I'll stick to the most impactful changes:

New Character Models

Alpha 0.10 features a new character model that is a lot more detailed and realistic than before, while still retaining some of the cartoony look. This will work a lot better as a base for me to build on when adding new body variations, clothing, hairstyles, races and more.

The iconic old models will be missed :(, but it was time for them to go. I'm sure we'll all think of a good use for them in the future!

All classes have been reworked with new abilities and unique outfits. Along with the models are new animations and effects.

Clipping issues with some clothing have been reduced but they can still happen when dealing with more cloth-y items. I'm still working on those!

New Items and Status Effects

There's now about 10x more items than before, with varying rarities and effects. Some craftable, some lootable. Some can be shiny gifts to get prisoners on your side, others are just ingredients to be crafted into something great.

Be sure to collect them all and test out whatever unique effects they may have on your characters!

Combat has now gained some more depth thanks to new status effects. Character damage now scales with their level.

There's a lot more I want to add to combat to make it more intricate and strategic, but I'm really happy with how it's turning out.

I plan on keep adding items and effects so you can all play around with crazy character builds, including eventually breeding them with one another to get some OP super-soldier thing going (within balancing limits!).

QOL, Bugfixes and Performance

There's been many, many changes made to make the game more enjoyable overall, from useful little quality-of-life features to fixing some old, reocurring bugs. While the game now looks a lot better, performance should also see some great improvement.

This has been the most I've changed from an update to another. Needless to say, bugs may happen.

No need to wait any longer, go play the game! I hope you have fun, and see you next time!

Apparently, the zipped game folder finally reached 200mb, the file limit for Patreon attachments! From now on, I'll be sharing it through a Google drive link. Let me know if this works for you!

This game is very interesting. I think I will continue to support it.

New patron here, I played the .8 version and I’m glad that the performance issues have been fixed, I also am a fan of the new bodies, even when some of the girls are hilariously flat. The old bodies reminded me of noble fates. Maybe a toggleable option to switch between the two would be cool. So weird question I have, the reason I’m commenting, in the last version and this one random tiles that produced resources would start producing 2x the resource, farms, medical, research, and gold mines. Was curious if this was a feature, or if it was a bug? It’s convenient when not playing with cheats I will admit. Good game, keep making progress!

Thanks! Damage to clothing is still there, though damage marks on the body have been removed for the time being while a more realistic and better performant system is being worked on. "Body variations and their limits before they get too crazy" is still a boundary I'm figuring out regarding the new models. Some wilder, thicc builds are out there for every race, but it's safe to say the "average" invader's features will be considered a bit basic to players used to the older models, especially in the starter character races. As time goes on, other ways to get servants and breeding mechanics will allow people to go as far as they want with sizes, but it's still good to think of players who may want a petite elf as companion.

I like the new models, though I noticed battle-damage doesn't seem to show up anymore? Is this temporary or is it removed? Also, maybe my memory is hazy, but the body-shape variety seems less diverse than before? All the T&A from the invaders I've seen have been smaller on average, and heights don't go as short as before which is especially noticeable on the goblins.

Awesome to see!
