2024-12-09 16:23:26 +0000 UTCOda is not good at planning. Gear 5 is one of the biggest retcons in shonen, and it single handedly destroyed the reputation of the end game antagonists. They basically let this guy roam free without applying pressure for 1000+ chapters. I don't think anything in Dragon Ball is that jarring. As for your question Brago, Piccolo is stronger than King Piccolo. This is explicitly stated in the manga. The dub omits certain details. Hope this clears things up.

2024-12-08 12:24:16 +0000 UTCIt’s an unfortunate, simple explanation Brago this is during the creation period Toriyama wasn’t good at plotting ahead as Oda is, you will see it as you go along where things get retconned, or certain situations to happen in the future don’t make sense because of previous situations but I think, reading his work helped Oda to be somebody who, at least tries to be consistent as often as possible. It doesn’t take away from Toriyama ability to write but there’s numerous occasions where things happen and he consistently retconned things. Obviously more recently with Buu not being created by Bibidi. It’s a habit that he does a lot.

Naruto literally doing a million recap eps or the same story from someone else’s POV was filler. Ichigo having 50 episode archs with people never in the manga was filler .We’re not gonna call dragon ball or Z training eps as filler. Like its all part of the story and even added context from akiras early interviews. Don’t we like sbs stuff getting animated.
