2024-11-20 21:39:14 +0000 UTCAlso I’d argue Kai isn’t for everyone. By the end of Dragon Ball that goku is the exact personality we get in Z but it’s in this series first(DB). Kai cuts filler but also so much of the story building like gohan’s training first alone and then with piccolo from 15eps to like 2. They cut a lot of the training out. Kai goku imo is just another time producers thought to remake the original nostalgia of kid goku and sell it again. Like killing goku twice in Z trying to get fans to accept kid gohan as the main character, making him a kid in GT, he acts like kid goku in KAI or making him a kid again in Diama. We don’t love dragonball because gokus forever a clueless kid we love watching him grow up while being pure hearted.

DBZ Kai gives more context and starts with Goku's origin / saiyan origin which is good context and it follwos the manga I love both bro but I will say DBZ goku acts like superman not really how Goku would act, but in DBZ Kai he acts normal
