For real, when I watched it as a kid I knew “something” was off but mostly I just let this sink int the depths of my psyche and I’m so glad someone is finally picking it apart.
2023-02-18 08:08:37 +0000 UTCI genuinely feel like you're doing good work with this series, not in the sense of "hey, good job, man" (thought that's absolutely there and i am blown away by the detail. for victorious especially, the first video i watched, i feel going through each episode really hammers home just how fucked up, vapid, and ridiculous the themes and jokes can be) but in the "this is needed" kind of way. a critical look at the media we watched as kids, and thus a deep cultural examination of both American TV and those who created it, is, if not necessary, absolutely fascinating and brings a light to how persistent some things are in our society-nothing new under the sun and all that. sincerely, thank you for doing this
