Emily Archenture was a music teacher in her previous life. She saw only the good in everyone. For others, glass could be half empty. But for her, she always sought ways to fill the other half of the glass.

On one cold night, Vlad Straud was seeking a prey to quench his blood thirst. And that night, he sneaked past through Emily's door. But before taking a step, Vlad heard a mesmerizing melody. She was playing piano. He couldn't help but hesitate for a moment. Enchanted by the melody, Vlad made a 180 and returned to the streets, to find his food elsewhere.

Days became living hell for Vlad. He couldn't get Emily out of his mind. So he started to sneak into Emily's home and listen to her piano quite often. She was a beautiful woman and her fingers were elegantly harmonizing the piano's notes. That was then, when Vlad realized he was falling for her. He had to be part of her life...

His pale skin, would've scared her to death. So he shifted his appearance and looked more alive. He made his way into her life slowly. Small gestures turned into love letters. And just as Vlad did, Emily started to fall for him too. They become a couple for quite some time.

After months, Emily became terribly ill with no cure. All the potions Vlad had magicians made, were for nothing. He knew a blood ritual to save her life but the cost was too big. Not the sacrifice part, but the cost of soul. It would chance Emily's soul forever. With selfish desires, Vlad performed the blood ritual and made the necessary sacrifice.

Couple of minutes later, Emily's flesh started to turn colder. As if life was fading away from her body. However, this was the beginning of her new life. She became a vampire, just like Vlad Straud.

It took her to make peace with her new self. Her soul indeed changed. The woman who couldn't hurt a fly turned into a blood-thirsty predator. And she became one with Vlad. Their union was horrifiying for many. Two powerful vampire on the top of the world...
