Does getting stronger during battles means that victory is certain?

When I watched all those movies and anime in my last life, I indeed thought that was the case, but reality was often disappointing.

I mean, I know that I just achieved my true form, but sadly, Asgorath wasn’t blind, and like common fight tropes, he didn’t wait for me to register my change.

Instead, he just continued attacking me with everything he could, his entire focus on ensuring that I could not unleash an attack at all.

I don’t think Asgorath would be able to break through this.

Anti-Existence- Destruction Ray.

I straightened myself, and aimed at Asgorath with my hand, Dense antimatter forming in my hand, an attack easily amongst the deadliest in all of universe about to be unleashed.

At that moment, for the first time since the start of the battle, a look of horror appeared in the eyes of Asgorath, he could feel it, a fear creeping from all his cells, screaming that if this attack landed on him, he would die.

He hurried to dodge, but it was far too late, I had already unleashed the destruction ray, which destroyed everything in its path.

By everything, I mean everything, even the space-time of the path of the attack was shredded, such was its ferocity, its very concept enabled it to destroy everything in existence, which means, if it exists, this attack can destroy it.

Asgorath was fast, one of the fastest being in existence, but could he really dodge this attack of mine?

Then, suddenly, an intense black red light erupted from his body, making him glow ominously, his mouth opened, his teeth glowing even more intensely than his body.

There was no need to guess, this was probably his last stand, because he had just erupted with every last bit of energy in his body.

And this was… quite impressive, because I had already burned over my energy like… a hundred times? Approximately.

If I did not have my energy dimension and energy breeder, I was, for sure a goner, lack of energy would keep me from using my greatest strength, my anti-matter ability, and without it, there was no chance of victory for me at all.

I groaned as I felt my bones creaking, even after all that enhancement and evolution, the shockwave from the stopped bite even destroyed a few stars far away.

But I persisted, this was a matter of ego, a pure brute clash of strength, and I could not lose here, not with my pride intact.

“HHHHAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!” I shouted out loud and filled my hands with even more energy, pushing it to my max limit.

Asgorath’s jaw was pushed up slightly, the distance between them increasing. I was winning, I was stronger.

But at this moment, I saw something which made me curse out loud with fear.

That mf Asgorath… He was charging a dragon breath, right when I was stuck in his mouth, and he was giving this breath his all, it was a conceptual level true form enhanced overdrive breath, which, if unleashed, would hit me point blank.

‘…’

For the first time, my brain went completely blank, I mean, what can I even do now?

If I survive, I could wish to go back to peak health, but that’s a big if…

I don’t think I can survive this attack point blank.

Concept- Anti-Space – Teleportation.

And I vanished from my spot, teleported away, Asgorath’s jaws clenched suddenly, unleashing yet another shockwave, moment before his dragon breath was unleashed.

Now, inside his closed mouth, was a ball of super condensed antimatter, and a charging dragon breath.

I appeared beside Asgorath, bracing myself for the upcoming impact, my first time teleporting had me confused, I could only manage a few kilometers of distance.

BBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, with a ferocity that seemed to shake the entire universe, an explosion went off, inside Asgorath’s mouth, popping it open, like a burst balloon.

Sadly, I too was inside the explosion range.

But, one thing was sure, Asgorath was done for, and I, had won.
