Sample Test for Ambienced Scripture Readings
Added 2025-07-20 05:40:51 +0000 UTCI recorded a short sample of just speaking so I could go back and experiment with dipping and peaking and pulling frequencies to get a certain tone. I do intend to read the last five books of the Old Testament before going through the New Testament, one of which is the book of Jonah; I thought it would be a unique and cool idea to make it have the spatial audio of a voice inside of a whale's belly so you can listen with that perspective and be immersed in the sound of a voice reading to you from the depths of a damp cave of a fish's belly with crashing waves and storms and rain and such at different points... I think I was getting a little carried away but it sounded cool xD Maybe I'll try it, but for now, after experimenting to see if I could achieve something close to it, I decided to pare it back for the first run and just tamper it down for a normal reading with some ambience added, so that's what will be coming out first as opposed to the super-immersed version, haha.
My goal is to play around with the malleable nature of audio tones just enough to scratch your brain in different ways than just raw voice recordings (as great as those always are)! And to learn along the way as well, because there are certainly times where I have a vision but am not sure exactly how to get there, and it takes a lot more research than if I could just ask an experienced sound engineer. Perhaps this year I should make it a goal to pay for a sit-down session with exactly that, to ask all my questions. I have always wanted to take some masterclasses or workshops in the field of sound engineering to improve my skills exponentially, but I think that's just as important to make progress-- asking the experts your specific questions! :)

I like the concept. The added sounds would be nice.
