The Death of Cinematic Curiosity

Thank you for the analysis. I have found it very interesting (I enjoyed it very much!) However, I think part of the same ideas have been discussed previously. While I was thinking on your conclusions I recalled “Sullivan’s travels” (1941) and I thought that somehow, we have not changed so much. We are still going to movies searching for the same confort. Anyway, you have given me a lot to think about. Thanks!

The young have always been rather simplistic in this way. Sadly, thanks to social media, we just see and hear it more. So many feel they need their voices heard in a world where 80% of us don’t care about anything other than ourselves.. it’s the result of a couple of generations of overly protective parenting and the narcissistic tendencies that come from being told , “you’re amazing” all the time.
