September - Looking forward
Added 2022-09-04 13:31:38 +0000 UTCI know we've been a bit quiet lately, last month had a lot going on, including cutting our planned content slightly shorter because Cubze was overworked and needed to recover from wrist strain.
Here's our plan for September, at the minute.
Between the 8th and the 10th a new update will be released, which will be Jane focused, and will represent the introduction of the third major arc, as we've already seen the other two. This will take place in Jane's hut, and introducing a location means more gorgeous background art to be included.
Around week two or week three, we'll be showcasing a new second game that we've been preparing behind the scenes. It is a companion to Shackles of Ellswyn, but it will be much shorter and episodic. This will be available on this Patreon, and later, Steam, but promise it won't take away from Shackles of Ellswyn content. We will announce more about this later in the month.
Towards the end of the month, we're going to be doing a second and smaller Shackles of Ellswyn update. For last month's update, the plan was to have the Queen scene extend into the Queen's chambers, but we weren't able to quite get there. That background art piece has been completed, and is gorgeous and we're hoping to get a little update to get the story up to that intended milestone.
I felt it was important to add a little bit of transparency about where we are as last month was basically a single update with a new content drop and nothing else. Would love to hear what you're excited about coming forwards, and definitely would be curious as to what your guess as to our new announced project is.

2022-09-09 23:37:03 +0000 UTCI'm definitely excited to see the witch's arc and how that plays out, especially in combination with Ellie's JOI interjections. I have a feeling that when those are done, I'm going to keep coming back to it over and over... and over... 😳 It'll definitely be interesting to see how Ellie's and Amber's instructions vary, too, since right now both sets seem to be largely identical. As for your next project... my guess is maybe a more interactive but less story-focused experience, like virtual keyholding? I'm not particularly creative, though, so that was really the only thing that came to mind 😅

2022-09-09 22:23:54 +0000 UTCGreat question, we've mapped out several story nodes for each character that ideally aligns with a good or bad end. It's tough to know how long that'll translate to or when we'll get there, we're just invested in telling the story.
