Leaving the prince behind, David went to gather water and firewood. While searching, he found a cottage and met a kind-seeming man who offered him shelter.
Despite his unease, David accepted the offer. Inside, the air smelled strange, and the plants seemed alive. Suddenly, vines wrapped around him, and the man revealed his true nature—a master of a monstrous plant that devoured travelers. The man planned to keep David as a prisoner for his twisted desires.
