It's a situation where Daniel isn't aware of what's going on, and he hasn't learned to reacess and replan after getting new information. He overcommits to an idea, and that results in a lot of chaos.. It's very fun chaos at least.

This time around it’s described better, but I still think it’s a bit of a unwise choice. Don’t change it though, it suits his character and moves the plot at this point

First off, I have been working dilligently each and every day to ensure the first book is as good as I can make it. I haven't taken any breaks, and I just finished chapter 48. I'm like 95% done with the first of The New World's books. I'm excited about that. Now, the reason I haven't been posting the chapters as I went comes from one primary cause - the rewrites have gotten more extensive. This isn't because I'm going overboard and wanting to change the story. Quite the opposite; I'm setting up details, character moments, and worldbuilding that justifies what happens later on in the story For this reason, and so that the characters hold up better, I'm scrapping entire chapters at times here. Oddly enough, it takes less time to rewrite than to edit. It's like fixing a totalled car or something. Point is, I'm really pushing myself here, so taking extra time to update you guys is simply too much at the moment. The other reason for the delayed posts is to prevent me from posting sections with brand new continuity errors. By having some buffer text, I can single out and fix them before I post them, allowing for much better quality. Make no mistake, this also saves me a lot of time. It takes forever to go in, fix the section on patreon, fix the PDF file, then even worse, fix it on RoyalRoad AND gravity tales. I mean, there just isn't enough time in the day. So here's my scramble at a reply. The story hit a point where I'm like: "Ok, that's solid and there's no abhorent erros standing out to me despite how much I'm having to rewrite. Cool, cool, I can post now." Ok, back to editing/writing. Cya guys.
