New video! I animated the intro of my favorite FFXIV short story: In Storm's Wake.

It's...done...this one took me some time.

I did take a few weeks and breaks during this project so it's not like the video itself took this long, but I'm happy to be finally releasing it anyway! Last few days I barely did anything else other than animate the last few shots left. I really wanted to finish it and get to a good enough result...there are certain parts of it that I wished I could've done differently, but it's okay...right? Better to move on to the next and keep learning.

Every time they release a new short story I think of how cool it would be to actually see them ingame, or animated, or even just simply voiced. I'd love a Drama CD of these...but even without all of that, I think it's pretty cool that they just exist at all.

I love how it's a first person PoV of G'raha. I love it how it's so well written and we can see perfectly how current G'raha is: enjoying life, allowing himself to dream of his long-awaited adventures, a little bit of his admiration towards the Warrior of Light, and his memories and experiences as the Exarch and in the other timeline. It's all there! His advice to Hien, the way he speaks, the way he worries about being respectful and grateful to the invite...and the way he is embarassed when he aknowledges his "sage wisdom". Ahhh I love it so much!!!

I hope I did it justice.

Also, recently, Square Enix had the Chronicles of Light Volume II in preorder. Apparently, it's going to include 4 new stories that are not online, including a new Exarch one!!! I had to immediately preorder it when I saw that. I can't wait!
