When i started this game project, i had no idea the rabbit-hole of information i was diving into. being able to directly make controls for a metroid-vania style project was something i had no idea would ever end up in my set of hobbies, but the more i learn about simple programming?... the more i like it. I dunno, there is just this... beauty... to watching still frames come to life underneath control. it's magical.
That being said, There isn't much progress to report this month. I've been working on my other project alot harder than A Web Away;Pure Souls, simply because AWA is a MUCH harder project requiring a whole lot more learning and fine tuning than anything i've EVER done before. that being said, I'de like to remind you that AWA is 100% made with my own assets, including all art, programming, AND MUSIC! SINNER IS ALSO A MUSICIAN, whoda thunk?
To show that i have not been sitting on my laurels all this time, I'm enclosing a musical 'sketch' of a song that i hope to use for cutscene's or possibly a spooky underground/cavern type mapset in-game. 'in tempestus Tardigrade' is a waltzy thing that i think will really shine with some polishing. when the piano kicks in, it goes from some rollicking gothy thing... to a rainy afternoon where the world is painted in drab, and no horror nor hero can see the light of victory hanging at the edge of the storm~
Stay tuned and tuned-in for more spiderly mischief, and sprite reworks coming in March!
