(also, some notes from me on the relationship between alerudy and the 141 now that this "cooldown" mini-arc is transitioning into a more action-packed arc:
In the canon game, i feel like their interactions are basically only positive as they're allies that join forces to investigate valeria and later take down graves. It means that they leave each other's stories on a really amicable note, which is great! but it did make me want to explore what "conflict" between them and the 141 could look like. They're both teams of people with very strong personalities, so I felt it would only make sense for them to make missteps and have to answer for it with each other. I had the most fun with thinking about how Soap and Rudy would interact since they're both the one who's more emotionally attuned in their pair, and I had a lot of fun writing Rudy giving Soap a minor scolding in this section.)

2025-07-17 07:37:22 +0000 UTCThere's something so refreshingly brutal about this comic I stg: the way that each character is nowhere near as focused as they should be. They really aren't a *team* yet. Price giving Ghost a reality check, Rudy offering judgement on Soap and Ghost, Soap's clear guilt, Ghost's lack of control... the loose threads of distrust sewn in with each retort. I just know that this is gonna break them before it makes them 🤎🤎 Love it!
