Atlantis - Episode 1 - "Jetlagged"

Pilot - Hello, passengers. This is your pilot speaking. We should be landing at our destination in 30 minutes. Please fasten your seatbelts and stay seated until landing. There is some beautiful weather waiting here for you. Welcome to Atlantis!

Armin - Wait, what? Did he just say Atlantis?

Annika - Yup

Armin - Like the Bahamas?

I pulled up the cover of the window next to us and I was not ready for what I saw.

I didn't even know where we were going when I got on this jet and now I'm looking at a ring-shaped island surrounded by the most beautiful turquoise blue water I've ever seen.

Annika - it's beautiful, right?

Armin - Where is this?

Annika - It's somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. I don't know the specific location, but it's kind of close to Europe.

Armin - And you've been here before?

Armin - I can't believe it's shaped like that

Annika - The rings are mostly artificial. We'll have to ask my friend about the specifics but from what I remember, they modeled the island after the lost city of Atlantis. Hence the name, Atlantis.

Armin - That's crazy cool! So what's the deal? We came here to chill with your dad's friend?

Annika - Well his son and I have been friends since we were young. His dad let's him enjoy the island whenever he wants so he throws really crazy, exclusive parties. His parties last a couple days and they started last night

Armin - I need to take a picture of this!

I leaned closer to the window and pulled out my phone to take a couple pictures of the beautiful island. Annika took out her phone and took some pictures as well.

Once I was done take pictures I laid back on the chair and scrolled through the pictures I had just taken to see which one I could send to my parents. As I was scrolling through, I saw an image that made my heart sink to stomach.

What the fuck is this?!

Annika - Baby, look at this picture I just took. I put a special filter on it and-- Armin, are you ok? You look kinda pale

I shut my phone off quickly and pulled myself together as best as I could.

I said that subconsciously but she smiled and went back to her phone.

I anxiously went back to my phone to make sure I wasn't crazy and I really saw that image.

Sure enough the image was there, but how...?!

The limo stopped. We pulled into a long driveway the led to a giant mansion on the beach.

Annika - Looks like we're here!

We stepped out of the limo and I could tell the whole group was in awe, myself included.

Armin - I thought you said we were staying at the guest house?

Annika - This is the guest house! The outter ring of the island is covered with ocean view houses , but he gave us the biggest one because our families are close

Mila - I need a nap so I'm staying

Annika - Armin and I will stay and chill at the house too

I kinda wanted to go party but Annika didn't give me a choice. I guess some food and a nap won't hurt.

We all walked in the house and split off in different ways trying to claim a room. Annika let everyone know the master bedroom was hers and mine.

Once we got there we finally reached the end of the long hallway, we saw Mila standing outside her room with the door open talking to someone inside the room. I looked around and everyone except for Chantelle was here standing with her.

Annika - Mila, what happened?

Well I walked around trying to find the most isolated bedroom for myself and when I finally found it, I opened the door and found these two in there fucking.

Annika - Napping is the worst thing we could do right now. We should get acclimated to the new time zone and stay up. But I'm so tired I don't care. I'm gonna nap too

Before I knew it, I dozed off into a deep, jetlagged sleep. What else does this crazy island have in store for us...?
