August Mod Status Update
Added 2024-08-30 13:30:05 +0000 UTCHi All,
Hope you're enjoying these last few weeks of summer! It flew by so quickly. I can't believe we're almost in fall. A few updates and changes for my mods as well as new early access mod.
General Pie Menus, Shared Library, Shared Tuning, and Mood Pack
These dependencies are essential to the smooth installation of the vast majority of my mods. My mods are literally dependent on them being installed. When in doubt, redownload them and make sure you have the most recent versions, you don't have duplicates, and you actually have them installed. If you can't click on your sims, are missing menu options, or can't find something that should be where I said it is, or your buffs looks strange, chances are you are missing, have installed incorrectly, or have outdated versions of one or more of these mods so when in doubt, go install them because 9/10 they are needed for my mods.
Error Reports
Thank you for all of your error reports in Discord. Please do drop the html in your thread; most of you do, but just to make sure you know that that is the most helpful way if you get an actual error that points to my mods. If any of my mods are explicitly listed in your BE, head to Discord (pinned in the mod index on my patreon homepage) so you can send it to me.
It's come to my attention that an old EA bug (see here) having to due with notifications has reappeared and sometimes causes a BE UI Exception which leads some to believe my mods' notifications are causing UI exception errors when they are not; it just happens to be the notification occuring during the exception.
If you get a UI exception but no mods are actually listed in the exception, delete all of your notifications until your panel is completely empty when you repeatedly click on it, save the game using save as, exit, clear your cache, and reload. Try to keep your notification panel clear going forward. This has been proven to be effective for this EA bug so far.

If you are having issues with your cancer treatment, make sure to update the mod. The update will cause your sim to have to choose a new cancer treatment plan and start a new course of treatment or forgo treatment altogether but will not remove discovered cancers already added to your sim. New Mods
New Public Mod
Functional Janitor Closet is available for public release.
New Early Access Mod
Better Daycare
Sapphire/Violet Now
Midnight/Azure on 9/6
The normal daycare in the game is kind of lackluster. The baby-toddler sims will have some portion of many of needs met, mostly, it doesn't happen unless they're either there for a long time or their motives are almost depleted. And you can't send your sims to daycare even when you're on the lot. It's a crapshoot whether or not toddlers gain skills. Also daycare is free - what?!
This mod does a few things:
The mod adds a new elective daycare (available by clicking on the baby/infant/toddler) where your sims can to elect to send small sims to daycare even when they are on the lot (for babies if older sims go off lot they will be sent to regular daycare, for infants and toddlers they may stay in the elected daycare or be forced into game daycare or even come home). Daycare lasts until you manually get babies from daycare and 8 hours for infants and toddlers but you can bring them home sooner.
Elective daycare and the game's normal daycare (only triggers when baby-infant sims are left alone on the lot) will now increase your sim's basic needs each time they go, not only when they are bottoming out.
Both daycares (game and elective) have the option to teach your sim's some skills and character values for toddlers and increase progress towards developmental milestones for infants. This will not happen if you keep the package titled Remove Skill Gains. If you want to skill gains to happen, delete the package titled Remove Skill Gains.
Both daycare options (game and elective) will cost $100 IF you keep the package titled "Add Daycare Fees". If you remove that package, both daycare options will be free.
