He owns the invisibility cloak. The elder wand answered to him since the end of the half blood prince. He was the rightful owner of all three deathly hollows.

She apparently likely would have killed him if not for that scene. She wanted the symbolism with Hagrid being the one to carry Harry from the wreckage of Voldemort’s attack when he was a baby, and Hagrid carrying the supposedly dead Harry.

Voldemort placed it, and at the same time, he also hid a horcrux in hogwarts. That’s my understanding. The curse is why there’s always a new professor every year, if Voldemort can have the position, then no one can.
