IN all honesty, they probably weren't considering that too much XD. The only one who might have was Bod, but then again He sort of lost power to stop it a ways back X3!!

I'm pretty sure getting him out of there was impossible 5 mountains of gold ago, much less so just before critical mass. Aside from that they may want to run. Gold, while very malleable, is still dangerous when propelled at high speeds from what I can only call an improvised explosive.
