There's a new animation in the Unreleased Content folder! No video for now, as I want to keep up the pace with animating. This one is a short piece, about 46 seconds long, and took roughly three animating sessions to complete over three days.
Lately, I've been testing ways to make my videos look smoother. Even though they're already in 60fps, I know some motion blur is needed for a more natural look. Adding it in MMD is easy, but I've never quite gotten the hang of it, and the results never felt right to me. Since I'm also learning to render in Blender, I experimented with two methods of adding motion blur:
Rendering it directly in Blender – This is highly accurate but extremely resource-intensive. While my PC is powerful, it's not quite powerful enough to make it look good without excessive noise.
Adding it in post – This smooths out the grain but isn't very accurate.
After some trial and error, I found a Vegas plugin that works really well—better yet, I can use it for both Blender and MMD renders.
I've also created a new folder inside the 1080p videos section where I uploaded some test renders and a preview of the latest animation.
Now, back to animating! And just a reminder for my $10-tier members—anyone can use the PMX models featured in my animations since they're standard MMD models. You can find them here if you haven't already.
