Hi everyone. Thanks for joining me for today's public post. Before we formally unveil the winner of the School Council poll next week, (technically it ends on Friday, but this contest is over, Jess has walked it,) I'll quickly talk poll results from last week today as we wave a fond farewell to Slave to Love.

Before that, a couple of other quick announcements. 0.10 is now at the planning and initial prep stage. This update will focus heavily on the school, and I'm hoping to start introducing some changes to make the school day less of a slog for players that have already seen everything. Supporters are being canvassed on their opinions behind the paywall, but if you've anything you'd like to add on that subject, please use the comments here, in any forum where I'm active, or on Discord. You can also PM me your thoughts.

Secondly, a bugfix was put out on itch yesterday for those that have been seeing the Down with the Bad Girls! bug. This was caused by the new code that teleports you out of the school at the end of the day, which was preventing the scene with Poppy and the bad girls in the yard from triggering. If you've no intention of playing this quest between now and 0.10, you don't need the update.

Poll Results Discussion

 Onto the results of the survey then, and 15 respondents, about 13 or 14 percent of total, had no notes. Thanks you guys, I try my best ^^

 The usual result here. I expect to see this now as the game is about as dark as it's getting. Reign of Jess probably represented the darkest, though the arc that's coming at the end of Act 2 will give it a run for its money. It'll be a while before we have to worry about that though. What I go for is variety rather than shock value.

 I'm pleased to see that I appear to be getting the balance right on choice, with big improvements made over the last few updates. I'd be interested to hear from the voters who wanted more what exactly you think I could have done - not saying it will translate to action, but knowing the minds of my players always helps. No one voted that there was too much choice, which is good, but an option I sort-of mischievously included as there's a trade-off to be made between the choices available and the dev time I have to implement them. This is the reason why instead of 4 smaller ending CGs, I opted for the celebration (the scene in which Madeline and Chloe get drunk and abuse Missy) then allow the player to choose their ending after that.

 Again, no real surprises in this section. The part I was curious about was how the votes would break in endings #2-#4. Enslaving Madeline is probably the choice I'd most expect from domme players, though I'm a little surprised we don't have more scammers here. The money is the most immediate and obvious in-game benefit, though having a servant girl probably trumps it for most people.

Two voters skipped the quest entirely. I do hope that for those serious dommes that didn't even want to play the revenge arc, you at least appreciate the option to do this, even if the update will thus have been very short for you!

Thanks for those thoughts, I do try my hardest to ensure continuity and a plot that makes sense, but for some reason, Slave to Love ended up being a bit of a mess and I'm not sure how. Perhaps the fact that I was rushing it in what little free time I had bled through. As far as originality goes, blackmail is just too easy a plot device and one that I don't intend to rely on again. Perhaps another angle for Madeline ending up on top would have worked better, but it was also quite an old idea that's been in the works for a while.

Hiya, I'm a little late, but wanted to give my feedback. I thought this update was somewhat less polished than the normally outstanding work you do; judging from what you wrote in the previous post, it seems you won't be surprised to hear that. The following stood out to me: Madeline seems to imply multiple times that you took advantage of her sexually on the first day, even if you didn’t. At the very least, she implies that you actually did once and several more times that you wanted to. I would have liked for there to be a choice for Missy to decline sex with Madeline on the first night because she doesn’t want to force herself on a slave, rather than merely because she doesn’t feel like. (While Missy is perpetually horny, she also is/can be rather compassionate, so it seems to me that this reasonably falls within the bounds of her character options. I know Madeline expresses interest, but being a slave, she can’t be trusted not to be lying to garner favor with her mistress, which Missy generally shows enough social aptitude to realize.) This choice could set a flag that adjusts the dialogue I complained about above as appropriate. If feasible, it would also have been nice if there was a flavor option for the player to comment on Chloe after first meeting her, similar to the option to comment upon discovering the address in the fake deed. I appreciate that it would be difficult, perhaps impossible, to do this without giving the player ideas that could be spoilers. Upon leaving the kitchen after serving dinner naked to her family, Missy can immediately reenter it, and all the characters are gone, despite Missy being the first to leave. It would be good immersion if reentry was blocked until the end of the next scene, with Missy commenting something to the effect of: “I don’t want to be seen by my family like that any more than I must.” As you noted in the previous post, there weren’t enough generic nighttime sexual service scenes. Because you can be enslaved a minimum of three nights, I think three would be a great number, but even just one more would be a vast improvement. There were a couple of bugs related to how Madeline and Chloe appear after being turned over to the guard, though both seem to have been reported on Discord already, so I won’t elaborate here. Those were the polish issues; it’s nit-picking, of course, which I wouldn’t bother doing for most people, but your work is excellent enough that it feels warranted (perhaps perversely, haha). I do have one, more fundamental criticism, which is that I didn’t find Slave to Love to be a very compelling story overall. It was basically the same premise as Reign of Jess, except your enslaver is forcing you to be a prostitute instead of trying to break your will, which is a) less frightening and b) not really a new experience for the player (cf. Delivery Girl, Best Friends with Benefits). It felt to me like there wasn’t really anything new and interesting about the story; however, I recognize that I chose the only outcome (turning her into the guard) that doesn't lead to something without precedent in the game, so I dunno. Make of that what you will.
