Hi everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the new scene in the public release. The next part, Special Measures will be coming in the next update!

A number of very irritating bugs have made their way into the public update. Some of these, like the missing Popular Girls in Avenging Angel and the gallery bug with the new quest have been relatively easy to fix, others less so, which is why the bugfix update is taking so long.

The most complicated fix is the Jess fight, and specifically its interaction with the volleyball event. Both of these are convoluted 0.1-era messes, code-wise, so I'm taking this opportunity to re-write the Jess fight sequence and streamline and simplify the coding. I've also added to it a bit.

Previously, you could only threaten Jess if you had the Badass status buff, (obtained by defeating the bullies menacing Mary.) Having it meant that Jess would automatically back down and you could avoid the fight altogether. In the new, redesigned version, you will always have the opportunity to threaten Jess and while badass will still guarantee success (and coward failure,) the rest of the time, her reaction will be governed partly by her mood, but also by a number of factors, such as whether you're Poppy's bitch (which will make her way less likely to fear you,) or whether you're popular at school (which will make her more scared,) and so on.

There won't be any new scenes, but all being well, it should now work as intended! I'm pencilling in Wednesday for the release of the bugfix, as I want to try and make sure I get them all first time. We'll also have the traditional retrospective then as the unwashed masses have now had the chance to play 0.9. See you then!
