No Love Lost

Hi everyone. It's the end of a busy week with a busy weekend ahead, so not as much time as usual for working on the game, however progress continues to be made, and I'm hoping for a shorter lead time on this release than the last one. What last time did teach me though is that it's better to wait a little longer to squash more bugs!

In Wednesday's public update, I did let slip that Emma will be getting content in this next offering as she begins her progression - the first new one for Act 2. Let's take an initial look at that today and then talk a little about her! The new progression is called Old Debts, and will bring up some unfinished business from Missy's past. Turns out that this former friend is still determined to hold our girl to a promise she made years ago. This can only be bad for our girl!

So in 0.8, we'll be seeing inside Emma's house and meeting her parents. We'll also see what plans she has for Missy and learn a little more about their past friendship and how it ended.

So to talk a little about Emma. This hottie is, of course, an 18-year-old first year schoolgirl at Saint Alancia's in Missy's class. While Vicky usually gets more laughs for her stupidity, Emma is an altogether more complicated character. Part of Missy's circle of friends in Middle School, their paths diverged wildly once they moved up to Alancia's as Emma fell under the spell of Jessica, earning her ribbons to become a bad girl. 

We occasionally see that she can feel conflicted about this. If she's identified as the one that started the ugly rumour, for example, she'll express regret that their friendship ended. However, her desire to impress her new confederates trumps these feelings most of the time, and she's mostly horrible to our girl, and eagerly participates in Jess's humiliation of her in Chapter Four. This makes a rapprochement between them unlikely in the short-term, but probably not impossible in the future, especially if Missy goes down the bad girl route herself.

Emma has also been somewhat involved with Jessica in the past, and has boasted of experimental sexual experiences together. Because Jessica is herself very attractive and high-status, this is a point of great pride for Emma.

How would you like to see things go with this one-time friend turned Jess's lackey? Would you like to put her in her place, or maybe become friends again.... What am I saying? I know most of you want to see her bully Missy mercilessly!
