Announcing Chapter Five: The Reign of Jess (Part 2)

The School Council has voted, and the 0.7 flagship quest will be the next main story chapter, The Reign of Jess (Part 2) - Poll discussion follows below the main article.

Missy is now Jessica's sex slave.  (I realise that for many of you, this is not so much a problem as the reason you're playing the game, but I remember reading somewhere once that a story should have some sort of conflict and resolution to it, so we are where we are...) If you're to free her from this awful(?) fate, you will have to find out what Jessica is holding over Miss Paris and take it away from her.

To do that, you'll need to journey outside Sapphory City for the first time!  And that isn't the only first...

Play as Abbie!

Missy can't do this alone, so for the first time, in this chapter, you will be temporarily separated from your waifu and will take control of Abbie and guide her to help uncover what it is that Jess is holding over your teacher - and figure out a way to neutralize it.

Welcome to Fivaviana

The exotic and dangerous port-city of Fivaviana is the setting for much of Chapter 5.  Here, you will search for the secrets you're looking for and maybe find a few other shocking truths along the way!  As with Missy, you'll get to hear Abbie's internal monologue and converse with her about the decisions you're making together.

In an upcoming post, I'll introduce Fivaviana in a bit more detail, as it's more open and quite a different place than the walled and heavily fortified Sapphory City.

A massive amount of Jess content

If you're into subby-Missy, and are a fan of Jessica, then this chapter is your holy grail.  Our hapless heroine is now completely at her enemy's mercy - and mercy isn't something Jess is known for.  She is going to be utterly dominated, humiliated and broken.  But once you've had your fill of this, she'd also appreciate it if you would consider saving her!

Poll Discussion

This is more like how I expected the last poll to go. Turns out that only Poppy is a match for Jess in popularity, though that's a spirited effort there by the fans of a home slave quest - no doubt they'll get their chance to play that soon enough!

We had an exciting two-horse race in early voting, but Chapter 5 soon opened up a respectable lead that it rode all the way to the end. I would like to say I was fairly sure this was how it was going to go down, but after the result last time, I'd be lying!  Turnout was 80% meaning that once again, the abstainers could theoretically have held the balance of power.

Between now and 0.7, there'll be discussions with council-tier supporters about whether they're happy with this method of choosing quests or would prefer if I finessed the system somewhat. I'm fairly knowledgeable about electoral systems, and first-past-the-post isn't necessarily always the best. But that's for the future.

So work begins now on Chapter 5, alongside the mini-update, which will be dropping soon. We have our course, and it's going to take us... to Fivaviana!
