Avenging Angel Deep-Dive

Time to get excited, my friends. 0.6 is now with the beta testers, (testers, if you don't have it, message me,) which means the rest of you are only days away from getting the hopefully bug-free version!  So as is now tradition, today's post is a slightly more in-depth look at the quest. If you don't want to know any of this, now would be the time to stop reading and just admire this lovely picture of the girls while wondering what these two mortal enemies could possibly be laughing and joking about.

In designing Avenging Angel, I had to take account of the fact that the player could have done one of six possible things in part one: Betray Malia and either stay a slave or free yourself, betray Poppy and either stay a slave or free yourself, humiliate Poppy or spare Poppy. It's possible for Missy to be in a number of different places going into this quest: anything from Poppy's devoted slave to the girl that humbled her, to a slave who broke free of her chains. So the first thing you'll notice is that the quest begins quite differently depending on what your respective relationships with Poppy and Malia are.

In all versions though, you'll soon come face to face with Angel, the enigmatic fifth year popular girl and untouchable ruler of the schoolyard. Best friends with (and former lover of) prefect Hayley, and with a specialist skillset centred around destroying threats to her group, Angel's name strikes fear into the hearts of the popular girl's enemies. She wants you to help her deal with Poppy - and her methods can be very extreme.  Missy will have to do some outrageous things in her service.

For dominant players, this should be a fairly easy choice, but what of those of you who willingly bend the knee to the bad girl's leader? Will you defy the most popular and dangerous girl in school or will you help her bring down your own mistress? And what then? Each of the girls will expect you to help them. How long can you play both sides against the middle before you have to nail your colours to the mast?

One thing I've done with this quest is tried to give you an experience that matches the way you want to play the game. So dominant players will see more content of Missy doing the dominating, while subby players will see more content of Missy getting owned. Of course, as always, some of the humiliations our girl will suffer are unavoidable, but that's just how her luck goes. The quest should hopefully have considerable replayability due to all the different paths you can take. (Some scenes only happen on one path or another, but they'll all unlock in the gallery on quest completion.)

In the end, though, you'll once again have to make a choice - do you side with Poppy or Angel?  And even then, you have a further choice to make - will Missy don those red ribbons and become a bad girl? (Yes, you can do this even if you side with Angel!) And even after this, I still have one more surprise stored up.
