Long Live the Queen!

Hello everyone.  It's been a week, so I wanted to quickly touch base and give you a few bits of news, then I thought I'd round off with a quick piece about a girl many of you are keen to get to know better: Abbie's 22-year-old popular girl sister Malia, who will be featuring heavily in Avenging Angel!

Progress on the update

This continues at the best speed I can manage under the circumstances. It's not even the grief that's stopping me really any more, but the sheer amount of admin work there is to do around executing the estate. But anyway, game-wise, the fiddly scene I spoke about last time is finished and I've tried a number of permutations, all of which seem to be working fine. Catching anything I've missed will be up to the beta testers. Speaking of which...

Previous testers are entirely welcome (and encouraged) to apply again, but please remember you do have to re-apply each time, and you must also be a supporter in good standing through at least one full billing period. All three tiers are welcome.

More quality of life stuff

While adding the new scenes from Avenging Angel to the gallery, I came up with a great idea that took only a few minutes to implement, but will likely help out a lot - have you ever been looking for a particular scene, but none of the sprites were helpful in figuring out which one you wanted? Well now they're labelled for your convenience!

The Honey of Honeypot

Right, with that out of the way, let's talk about Malia!

Named after a tourist destination popular with drunken Brits, (so... Brits...) Malia is a sexy, confident party girl who cruises through life on her looks, but also has the brains to match.  This made her an obvious candidate for the popular girls.

She first became a popular girl in second year, having spent first year keeping a low profile and purposely making herself appear less attractive in order to avoid the unwanted attentions of Miss Boceta. Her upbringing in Honeypot Fields also worked against her, given that the overwhelming majority of the popular girls come from Lady Gardens and look down on anyone not from their end of town.

Her fairly liberal parents allowed her a lot of latitude (something they endeavour not to repeat with Abbie,) and she soon won a reputation for fun-loving antics rivalling even the legendary Hayley Victoria herself. Malia can have pretty much any girl she wants, and she knows it.

Now in fourth year, she is queen of all she surveys - the fourth year popular girls essentially rule the schoolyard. (The fifth year popular girls are much more concerned with their exams and consider themselves above the fray.) Malia and her friends may be the first popular girls to have to deal with a direct threat from the bad girls, meaning that this young woman of leisure must put down her drinking glass and defend her faction's position.

Malia has a soft spot for Missy and has rendered help to her for free that would have placed any other girl in debt to the popular girls for years to come. This has not gone unnoticed though by her best friend Melanie. This may all come to an end though, if Missy has been a naughty girl...
