The Grand Design

Hello, everyone. Over the weekend, I've been continuing to integrate Avenging Angel into the game. I'd hoped to have a quiet day on my own to work on it some more today, but then the rail strikes threw those plans into disarray and I've spent the day assembling furniture instead. Such is life.

At the stage I'm at now, the large-scale structure of the Missy story is starting to hove into view.  The Reign of Jess storyline will represent a very clear end of the first act, and the end of the beginning of the game.  In Act 2, many things will change, (Jess's actions have, as you've seen, somewhat upset things at the school) and the story will move on.  Certain quests that were unavailable in Act 1, will become playable, such as Jess's relationship quest.

As I mentioned previously, Avenging Angel is an Act 2 quest that will, once the Reign of Jess story is finished, not trigger until then.  It almost wasn't included in the options for the last council poll, but nothing in it is affected by you being able to play it now.

In the next school council poll, Chapter 5 will once again be offered alongside some of the other remaining Act 1 quests.  I thought you might all be interested to know what those other quests are, since so far only the council has seen them.  So here's a glimpse into the future, and a look at what else the first act of Missy holds...

Uptown Girl
Becky's relationship story has always been intended to be an early game quest alongside Abbie's and Lola's. With our loveable first year popular girl increasing her popularity with the players, I've started to lay the ground for this. 0.6 will feature the first school day event to include all three act 1 love interests.

Slave to Love
Karen buys a slave.  Missy and Stacey are overjoyed. Not only do they have far fewer chores, but now they also have a compliant slave girl to do with as they wish.  But it's just never that simple, is it? Missy will find herself on her knees instead in this story of role-reversal.

It's just a phase (working title)
A straight-(ish) girl moves with her mother from the outside world to Sapphory and enrols at Saint Alancia's. Adjusting to the school's regime of short skirts, stripping and uniform inspections is... something of a culture shock for her, but not as much as being surrounded by lesbians who are completely unfamiliar with the concept of her not being into women.  Missy has to help her discover who she really is in this story of corruption.

Too much love can kill you
Well, it was going to happen eventually wasn't it? Emily is arrested for consorting with unlicensed hookers.  Karen panics because, you know, she was the one supplying them. Missy must help get Emily off the hook, which will be hard, as she's clearly guilty!

This list isn't exhaustive, and there may end up being, for example, more relationship quests added later, but for now, this is what the still-to-be-implemented part of Act One looks like.  The council will be asked to vote around the time 0.6 is released. Which are you most looking forward to?

Trinian
