The Festive Check-in
Added 2022-12-14 15:43:47 +0000 UTC
Hello all and welcome to the public update. Getting close now, isn't it? What is it, 10 days until Christmas? Cripes. I have a few small points to touch base on this week, and fair warning, there are some spoilers for Chapter 4, so if you haven't played that yet, probably stop reading once you get to the section headed Chapter 4 Retrospective and come back when you've played it.
A Christmas Karen
I've almost finished this year's festive offering A Christmas Karen, and it'll be dropping for supporters at the end of this week and the public next week. Up top, we have a teaser image from it, in which Missy is some kind of fairy. She does love playing dress-up, our girl, and she always looks so good. A host of other characters will also be popping in to say hi. It will be about the same size and length as Christmas Eva.
Christmas timetable
After next week, I'll be on holiday time for about a week, so there won't be a public update on 28th December.
0.6 Flagship Quest - Avenging Angel

In a shock plot twist, the School Council (narrowly) voted not to continue the main storyline in 0.6 and to instead return to Poppy's story. This deserves its own full post, so we'll be hearing more about it in the new year. We'll be meeting new girl Angelica (Angel to her friends,) the popular girl's "fixer" who has Poppy and the bad girls squarely in her sights. Who's side will you take this time around?
Chapter 4 Retrospective
This is where the spoilers start. Here's a large picture of Jess to act as separator.

Most of the feedback I've received on Chapter 4 has been very positive. I'm pleased about this, as the promised escalation of events turned out to be quite steep. I did say it was coming!
The purpose of the day from hell was to establish Jessica's control of both Missy and Miss Paris, and set the scene for parts two and three in which you will work to free yourself and your teacher from her control. After this, her relationship quest will become an option (that I previously expected should win the first council poll it's offered in, but I have to admit, I can't predict anything any more!)
A few people have expressed concerns that I either went too far in this chapter, or took it in a darker direction that they expect in a lighthearted game, even one set in a world of slavery and public humiliation where human rights are extinct.
For this to be a good story, I needed to make you hate the villain and want to stop her (though I expect this was not the effect it had on many of you...) and so if you felt something, then I did my job. Remember what I said about revenge and catharsis?
Just-for-fun mega-poll!
I also have a future post half-written in which I'll talk about how Miss Paris's humiliation fits in with her character development, and how she may yet recover her authority over Jessica. I don't want to post it before it's ready, and may even save it until work on Chapter 5 begins, but what I would be interested in is canvassing public opinion on the reception of Chapter 4. I should say that this is purely for research purposes, but I would be remiss in not taking note of how my work is being received, so please vote for as many options as apply to you. I'll leave the poll running for the next 3 weeks. Comments are also always welcome.
Have a great week!

"Jess overplaying her hand fits her character perfectly. It all has a sort of kid in a candy store feel. Once she believes that no one can stop her from taking what she wants, she has no sense of moderation or caution." You get her ^^

2022-12-20 01:05:22 +0000 UTCI think the tone worked well. It honestly didn't feel all that much darker than the rest of the game to me. The characters might be feeling hopeless at the moment, but as the player I know I'm not playing a game about Jess' ultimate victory. So I'm enjoying the scenes with this dynamic while it lasts, and waiting to see how Jess eventually gets her comeuppance. Jess overplaying her hand fits her character perfectly. It all has a sort of kid in a candy store feel. Once she believes that no one can stop her from taking what she wants, she has no sense of moderation or caution. I loved seeing Miss Paris getting punished. Both because the disciplinarian teacher having the tables turned on her is hot, and because it seemed like she deserved it for letting innocent students suffer to protect herself. Especially after her initial reaction to the idea. Implying that suffering one private punishment herself was somehow worst than everything that had happened to Missy. I hope we get at least one more scene of Miss Paris on the receiving end before this plot arc is over. I'm very curious to find out what Jess has on Miss Paris. Both the specifics of what is it, and how bad would it be if it got out. Like is it a "your career would be over" sort of threat, or a "you'd be enslaved for your crimes" sort of threat?

2022-12-18 05:42:07 +0000 UTCI liked the chapter, but the final scene of the chapter was kinda a letdown to me, everything before was amazing though! just my thought

2022-12-17 01:40:58 +0000 UTCHonestly the update made me wish there was an option to join Jess in humiliating the teacher. save yourself by abusing your power to wrongfully punish the innocent so as to placate the person blackmailing you? Seems like an incredibly cowardly response to blackmail. the only way I would feel sorry for the teacher is if she was getting blackmailed for something she didn’t do.

2022-12-16 14:45:15 +0000 UTCI think what surprised me was Jess overtaking the teacher. To me this puts her on a another level compared to other bad girls and the popular girls. Before this, the teachers/administration seemed untouchable territory, but being the pioneer that Jess is, she went there and exerted herself. It was fantastic! The scene where she spanks miss Paris was great, although, personally would have rather seen over the knees as to me it creates a symbol of submission and position. But still *chef's kiss* was awesome. Granted, it was one teacher and there are still barriers for her to overcome. But this was the biggest power play made by any single character, i think, thus far. Kudos.

2022-12-15 01:36:11 +0000 UTCPoppy has 4 years on Jess. Imagine what she'll be like in 4th year!

2022-12-14 22:17:05 +0000 UTCI will say the darker tone of the new chapter did shock me a little…but in a good way. Jessica in a way kinda of reminds me of Camilla from Fire Emblem Fates, the extreme possessive type, at the end of the chapter she almost became my new favorite character. Poppy still holds the title😇

2022-12-14 18:30:21 +0000 UTCI personally, absolutely loved that Jess found a way to control Miss Parris. The concept of a strict confident teacher losing control to a school girl bully is just fantastic. Also, in general, throughout the game you add so much player choice which allows us to react in our own way. For me this truly was your best update. I love your vision for this game and i do hope the bullying and dom/sub themes continue to take a front seat. Again, this is just MY opinion.

2022-12-14 16:32:31 +0000 UTCFue un gran capítulo, felicidades, estoy muy impaciente por la continuación, me gusta mucho cómo Jess puede ser tan malo al mismo tiempo un poco "tsundere" para Missy. Right now I don't know if is better for Missy be the sub of Poppy or Jessica. Poppy can be so cruel and sadist, but Jessica I like how she obviously hace feelings for Missy but at the same time she can be so possesive and needs to be the dom. Just follow like now, you are doing a great game, thanks.
