The Chapter 4 Deep-dive

Hello everyone!  0.5 is complete.

The game is now with the beta testers (testers, check the Discord channel, or if you're not in there, your PMs.  If you don't have one of these, let me know.) so we're just waiting for them to do their work.  Time to get excited.

It's been a long road.  0.4 was released in February.  That's a 9 month lead time, thanks to the remaster, and so it's been a while, but today I'll be doing the traditional deep-dive look at the chapter.

Now, those of you who've been around for longer may recall these deep-dives tend to offer just a little more information than I've shown previously now that the wait is nearly over.  It's only minor spoiler information, but if you'd prefer not to know anything, and for it all to be a surprise, now is the time to stop reading.  So let's separate this from the text below with a picture of our lovely girls sat together.

Still here?  Okay!  Chapter 4 kicks off a new arc in the Missy story.  We'll be finding out more about the mystery of Rosaleigh and the package later on, and we're definitely not done with Missy's mothers and the secrets of her past yet either, but this story puts us right back in Saint Alancia's where we'll be normal schoolgirls once again.

Right from the off, the day from hell goes wrong for Missy.  You may have noticed as you viewed these spoilers that those tiny panties she's wearing aren't the normal regulation white ones we usually see her in.  Actually, the first thing you'll need to do in Chapter 4 is deal with the problem of her having none clean. Fortunately, Karen is on hand to help...

Next, though, our plucky heroine arrives at school but things just don't make much sense to her today.  At some point early on, she's going to find herself in the punishment outfit for reasons beyond her control, and fighting to clear her name (and be allowed to put on something that covers her up...)

Miss Paris just doesn't seem to want to hear it however, and as the day goes on, the stakes just keep getting higher.  And eventually, Missy and Abbie must find a way to deal with the beautiful but dangerous spider at the centre of this web of intrigue.  A certain brunette we all know and love.

Even though Chapter 4 takes place over the course of just one school day, there is masses to see and do and have done to you.  Each lesson period and break is unique and features a few new mechanics.  And with a grand crescendo at the end of the day in not one but two massive scenes, I am confident that you'll love this tale.

But remember, this is only part one, and it sets up for a larger story in which over the next few chapters, events will spill out of Saint Alancias and, for the first time, even out of Sapphory City!
