Hello everyone. It's another scorching hot day here so naturally I'm staying inside and making smut. But with so much smut still to make for this update, today I want to talk a little about some of the changes I've made to the locations.
All of the 3D locations in Missy besides the strip club are scratch-built. No others use stock or pre-made rooms. The last time I touched on this subject was waaay back when I created Fallulah Park for 0.2, but with all of the other improvements I've been making to the renders, in some cases, it's now the sets that are letting them down. So prior to making the next batch, I've made some improvements to the locations themselves with some stuff I've learned since making those early maps.

The problem became obvious when I started working on this scene - which by the way is a preview of 0.5! - in which Missy and Abbie are in the corridor. The girls look fine, the lighting is good, but that wall texture looks very low-res up close.

So a few changes to the corridor map later and what we have here looks about a million times better. There'll still be a few tweaks to this scene, as the brighter walls require a slight alteration to the lighting now, but on the whole, I hope you'll agree this is a vast improvement.

Here is an aerial shot of the whole of the Saint Alancia's corridor map, which is now almost completed. The Punishment Plinth remains the focus of this map, just as one would expect!

And here is group study, which is receiving similar treatment. Not really sure why Jessica is floating next to her seat, and Stacey's has vanished altogether, but this is a work-in-progress shot, not a preview anyway.
More of the older maps will be brought up to code as time goes on. Some of our more eagle-eyed members may have noticed I already started this process with Missy's bedroom and Miss Paris's classroom a while ago, with some of the renders showing the older version and some showing the new. It's the same with the field scenes, in which some have the new, much better-looking grass effect. Obviously, as remastering of the scenes happens over the coming updates, they'll all be moved onto the new.
Things continue to be fairly busy in real life for me, but I'm still managing to find time to work on my game. I'd like to start throwing up some more 0.5 previews soon, so we'll see how that goes. The day from hell is taking shape, and will look that much better for the improvements to Saint Alancia's itself!
