What a Karen

Hello everyone.  It's the end of the week and with things in real life beginning to return to some semblance of normality, I'm re-rendering hard.  I should hit 2000 images before the end of the day, and that'll put us just at under 80%.  I just finished the humiliating medical exam, and have also done a bunch of smaller school and town scenes, making out with Mary, plus the teasing Jess version.

I'm now onto the K's, which bring us to the subject of today's post.  While Miss Paris and Jessica, and to some extent Poppy tend to hog the limelight, I know a lot of you would also like to know more about our other major antagonist, as she's still something of a mystery.  So today, let's talk Karen. (Chapter 3 spoilers ahoy.  Just in case.)

What we know so far is that Missy's living arrangements arose out of the Sapphorian Youth Court wishing to punish her for helping her mothers to escape when the authorities came for them.  Wishing to give her a taste of life as a slave, without actually formally making her one, they placed her in the "care" of a convicted illegal madam known for her hatred of teenage girls.

Karen is an incredibly fun character to write, and I'm looking forward to giving her more content soon.  She gives no fucks, while at the same time being high-strung and short-tempered.  This may seem like a contradiction, but it makes her who she is - selfish and cruel.  She wishes to take no part in actually raising the girls and cares little about what happens to them, but will harshly punish any and all misbehaviour, partly because she's so angry, but also because she gains pleasure from it.  Karen is a textbook sociopath who has few limits on how badly she can behave, as well as a raging alcoholic.

Among her favourite of the tools at her disposal is the naughty window.  There were no naughty window scenes in 0.1 and this was an oft-requested feature.  (The first was added with Poppy's story, when Missy is punished for being brought home by the guards.  Since then, the scene with Jessica in Queen of the Ring has joined it.  There will be more.)  

Humiliating Missy (and sometimes Stacey) is frequently more appealing to Karen than physically punishing her.  The court has banned most forms of corporal punishment, and it's not clear how far Karen would go with this anyway, when she so obviously prefers to engineer situations that enable her to use humiliation instead, such as when she steals Stacey's panties, knowing Stacey will blame Missy and she can then punish them both.

It is clear that she would force Missy into stripping or prostitution if she could.  Her past as an illegal madam has made her see young women as monetizable commodities, and she had a large number of girls working for her before she was caught.  She also cared little for how badly they were treated, and it is likely that being humiliated for Emily's pleasure was far from the worst they experienced.  Most were happy to testify against her in return for deals with the authorities, who were careful to place legal restraints preventing her from doing this to Missy and Stacey.

Of course, that was never likely to actually stop her, and Karen is entirely unconcerned with the moral implications of what she has done, only that she isn't caught doing it again.  We know that although she appears to hold down gainful employment by day, she is still, to some extent, quietly rebuilding her empire, including by cajoling Missy into working for Emily.

It is not always the case that Karen resorts to force, and she has become quite adept at playing the girls off against one another, as well as getting what she wants by other means.  She can't directly force Missy into sexual situations, but has shown a flair for manipulating situations to her advantage, going as far as having our girl bring her off in the bath in order to avoid a trumped-up punishment.

But she isn't inhuman, and we have seen one sweet moment in which Karen, knowing Missy is about to be humiliated in the medical exam washes her nice panties so she can feel slightly better about herself.  Missy is so taken aback by this out-of-character act of kindness that she momentarily forgets herself (and her undressed state) and hugs her.  Karen does warn her of course not to get used to this treatment.

Karen is far from finished with Missy, and has plenty of other tricks up her sleeve besides what we've seen - the naughty window, cleaning naked, hosing down in the shower, handjobs in the bath and more than a little time over Karen's knee.  Our heroine is stuck with this monster until she's 25.  But as for Karen herself, there's still plenty of mysteries surrounding her.  What was in the package Missy retrieved?  What is Karen's relationship to the well-connected Rosaleigh?  Why does she have a sexy maid outfit in Missy's size?  (Well, okay, we can probably guess at that last one.)  Expect more outrageous behaviour from this monster soon.
