Showgirls

Hello everyone.  It's another scorching hot Friday here, and between doing various other things, I've finished work on remastering the play.  I think it's one of the best yet, so despite it being a SFW scene, let's have a look at it today in a good-old-fashioned side-by-side comparison post, because I think this is some of my best work to date.

As well as the usual re-posing and re-lighting work, some of the images from the play have had their camera angles changed.  This might seem like a strange pair to have picked for a side-by-side, as they look so completely different, but it shows how much more impactful a zoomed-in picture of the character who's speaking can be.  Our loveable bully looks so much better under that light too, doesn't she?  Of course we want to zoom in and see her face!

Of course, not all the pictures needed that treatment.  There were some I nailed first time, like the action shot of Missy about to "kill" her victim.  The fear in Jess's eyes looks real, possibly because this is the girl she's been bullying non-stop!  The dagger gleams in the improved light as poor Princess Persephone prepares to meet her gruesome fate.

Some re-posing work on the moment the servant girl happens upon the scene.  I feel that Abbie's apprehensive body language here much better conveys the fact that her character is afraid she'll be next.  

This re-posed shot of Abbie again shows the magic that improved lighting can do.  For whatever reason she seems to benefit from it even more than the other character models, and I always feel like I have to add once again that no changes have been made to her.

With the bow at the end, I let my creativity loose a little.  The three of them all in the exact same pose didn't look right at all.  I think Jess's curtsy came out exceptionally well here, but Missy trying to hold the crown on her head as she takes a bow is also a little touch I like.  In the original, it's apparently defying gravity, something I never noticed until I came to re-do the scene.

So that's the play ready to go.  Up next on the re-rendering docket is the pile-on, which will complete the Queen of the Ring images.  That one is a much more recent scene, so shouldn't need the full remaster treatment as it'll be a lot more complete.  Then after that we're onto the good girl photography scenes, which is from the same update, so again, fine.  The P's are huge!

They're nice costumes though, aren't they?  Jess really has the legs for that princess dress.
