Hello, everyone! It's boiling hot here, so I've been sat next to the air con making smut. The perfect way to spend a Friday. There's nothing really to show you today as it's all just unedited re-renders. I've done the Stacey tutorial scenes, including win, loss and Karen intervenes, the toilet spying scene, and finished off volleyball. Tomorrow I'll be doing the toilet ambush scene from Down with the Bad Girls. All-in-all, we're now at about the 40% mark with re-renders. Double where we were a week or so ago.
So with nothing else to really say on that, let's talk about something everyone loves - Jess and Poppy!
From the moment she approached us on the benches on day one, (or in the yard later on if we were late,) Jess has been a fan favourite. She's smashed every poll she's appeared in and continues to capture the imaginations of players. Only Miss Paris comes close to her level of popularity.
So why did I create Poppy? What reason did I have in 0.2 for putting in a second entitled, privileged brat from the posh part of town when the one I already had is such a hit? Isn't it a bit redundant? Doesn't she just fulfil basically the same role of "the bully?"

Well, gazing all the way back to the release of 0.1, we were still quite a long way from where we are today - that is, at the start of The Reign of Jess, the chapters dedicated to her. Once you've played these, you'll also see why her relationship quest has to wait until Act 2. However, this is a game about bullying the protagonist, so with the slow-rolling of Jessica's arc, necessitated by how it fits into the main story, another way had to be found to bully Missy while we waited. Enter Poppy.
Initially, Poppy's purpose was simply to put the player onto either the submissive or dominant path. By having you choose between defiance or capitulation, we would begin to see what kind of girl Missy is going to be under your... err... guidance. It's worth noting that the game will allow you to change path multiple times, enabling switch play while also having subby players keep repeatedly affirming their submission.

So since I began planning 0.2, Poppy has evolved quite a bit. I have a three act arc planned for her, with Bad Girl's Bitch / Down with the Bad Girls being part one. In part 2, which I've been planning for a while now, things get really good!
I will release some more information about it when the time comes for the School Council to choose, but what I can reveal at this point is that we'll be meeting her opposite number from the popular girls, a young lady every bit as cruel and ruthless as she is, and, perhaps most excitingly of all, Missy will have the opportunity to become a bad girl herself! This is something many people have asked for, so it's on its way.

Hopefully this little insight into the different arcs planned for Jess and Poppy gives you something of an idea where each is going. Both are cruel, ruthless and highly intelligent, but both have quite different plans, that nonetheless involve the complete subjugation of our heroine. Will you let them get away with it? Or will it be they who end up worshipping you?
Have a great weekend!
