Step on the gas!

Hello everyone!  I don't have any reworked pictures to show you today, I'm afraid, (the above illustration of the moment that Sophia's strength arouses Nissa's subbyness is resized, but not reworked,)  because what little feedback I've had about Monday's announcement on the timing of the update has been broadly positive.  So today will just be a boring technical progress report.  Sorry, can't have it both ways, I'm afraid!

The map work is nearing completion.  Probably less than a week to go on that.  The Red Light District and Fallulah Park are done.  I'm now onto the hospital, then it's the financial district and lastly the slaver base.  When these are done, the game will function.

The next stage after that is finishing the sprites, face sets and the last few custom tiles.  Probably another week or so's work there, maybe less.

Lastly, the re-rendering.  This is going more quickly now that I've stopped reworking them, and I'm working my way up from the bottom (hence why you got a picture today from the W's)  It's still the biggest part, but can be done alongside everything else.  I'm lucky enough to have a very powerful computer, which renders virtually instantly, but loading times for complex scenes are still anything up to 40-50 seconds, so this is actually the biggest limiting factor.  A scene with 100 images in it has to be loaded up to 100 times, so I tend to start one loading, do a bit more map work and come back.  I've got into a bit of a rhythm today, so progress is good.

I'll rework a few more pictures over the weekend too though so that hopefully I have something pretty to show you on Monday.  We're still on Missy getting humiliated after school by the teacher, so there's plenty of flesh coming your way.  What?  You want some now?  Oh, go on then.  Here's Sophia giving subby Nissa what she wants.
