Progress speeds up

Hello everyone, it's the Monday update, and I'm happy to say that after the problems of the last couple of weeks, I've finally been able to fire on all cylinders and meaningfully progress the remaster.  Re-coding-wise, the school is done and I've moved onto Lady Flower Estate and the maps that come off it.  I've also really hit my stride with these re-renders now.

I've now done a good chunk of the break time events.  Above, we see the deliciously humiliating moment that Missy pays her forfeit for losing to Jess at volleyball.  At least she wore underwear today.

Though apparently something happened to it between that and the bad girls finding her stuck in the hedge.  This was quite an early scene from 0.1, so some effort went into modernising it.  Let's take a look at a comparison with the old one, shall we?

Some of the reposing is quite subtle, but the grass has been updated and the re-lighting now gives the image much  more of a realism to it.

The bullies win/loss/grovel scenes are also redone.  And with that, I've moved onto the first few from Chapter 3:

These scenes were the first ones where I played around with the lighting instead of using the flat studio default.  In reshooting them, I applied some of the improvements I've made in my technique since then.

The difference is pretty dramatic.  By casting more light on the characters, while keeping the overall aesthetic, I've improved the look of the image while hopefully also keeping the feel of being in a dimly-lit underground bunker.

I'll save the new map shots for Wednesday, as I can only show the unwashed masses stuff that's safe for work.  And with over a hundred chapter 3 shots stretching out in front of me now, most of which are of Missy having sex with slaves, I'm going to struggle for things to show them.  Until then!
