The Evolution of Poppy

Hello everyone!  During a very busy weekend at work, I had very little time to think about the game.  I'm still at the writing and coding stage of the 0.5 development cycle, and since we already know what the main quest is going to entail,  let's talk about what else is going into the next release, starting with last week's poll winner, the one-and-only obnoxious brat Poppy!

There are 5 ways Poppy's story can have gone up to this point: If you played Down with the Bad Girls! then right now, Missy is free from Poppy's influence and the Popular girls won that one.  If you played The Bad Girl's Bitch, then either Poppy or Malia could have won and in either case, Missy could be Poppy's thrall or not.  It's that last part that matters in terms of the events we'll be seeing between now and the next major quest in this story.  

For players that are not currently under Poppy's thumb, there will be an event in which you'll have the opportunity to stop her making further progress against her enemies, and a scene to go with it.  However, today I want to talk about what is changing for subby players.

Your mistress demands two things: continued total compliance at school and that you visit her regularly at home to "show your respect."  In the last update, I introduced consequences for breaking the former, in which annoying Jessica can get you "corrected."  Now we'll be going further.  Poppy is getting a score which will go up when you're a good slave and down if you neglect your duties.  Maintaining it and keeping it high will unlock a new scene at the summer house.

This will work as follows: Going to the summer house and worshipping her at least once a day will make it go up.  Forgetting or choosing not to do so will make it go down.  She is also getting a new schoolyard event in which you can help her advance her goals, which can make it go up or down depending on how things play out.  Obviously upsetting Jess and getting dragged before Poppy to be punished will make it go down.  Let it get too low and she may even punish you publicly anyway!

Relationships must be maintained, lest they deteriorate, and that will now be true of the sub/domme relationship you have with Poppy.  So make sure to visit her every day to do the loyalty pledge and do as you're told in the school yard!
