Hello everyone! My thanks to everyone that took part in last week's poll. The results of which are here:

The headline is that this was a surprisingly big vote of confidence in the combat system as it stands, so perhaps I was concerned over nothing. The most votes went to this option with the main criticism being that the randomness should be toned down. The comments also reflected a desire to see this happen. I'm exploring ways to do this now.
One thing a couple of people suggested was that for players who are completely uninterested in fighting, yet want to see its results, a way to automatically choose the outcome of fights would be nice. The way I'd likely do this would be through a new "narrative mode" in which the player chooses whether to play normally or have the option to skip combat altogether and simply decide whether Missy wins or loses. This shouldn't actually be that hard to implement and may even make it into 0.4 depending on time.
Surprisingly, given the complaints I've heard from other quarters, patrons appear to be happy with the difficulty level of the fights, even the more challenging Poppy and Jess 2 battles. I can only assume you've all done a better job figuring out the right strategy than those other players!
There was a good amount of appetite for the player to receive a warning when the enemy is winding up a strong attack. This will not be easy to implement and will be unlikely to appear in 0.4, but is now on the docket for a future release.
An equal number of votes went to "make the fights more like wrestling matches" and "make the fights clearly different." Well... there's no way to square that circle, one side isn't getting what it wants! However, reading between the lines (and comments) it may be that people voting to make them more like wrestling were voting for the visual aspect the the wrestling matches where the combatants can be seen losing clothes be implemented in some way for normal fights. Again, this isn't something that's going to happen quickly, but given the indecisive outcome of this particular aspect, things will stay as they are for the time being.
Finally, there were a number of votes to give dominant players a buff to reflect their increased combat prowess. I'll have a bit of a think about this one.
So what else is happening in the world of Missy? Well, you'll be pleased to know that I've got further than I'd hoped with the Miss Paris good girl route, and there will be at least 3 scenes to see in 0.4 (of the 5 that there will eventually be.) Previews start on Monday, and I'm looking forward to sharing my progress with you then. Have a great weekend!
