Meet the girls: Melissa

Since we're now at the part of the development cycle where I'm writing dialogue, making characters and getting ideas fleshed out, it'll be a while yet before the previews start, so to pass the time, let's meet the first member of our new wrestling club!

Melissa (aka Sporty Spice) is a first year in Missy's class. In fact, we've met her a couple of times already. She can be seen walloping balls over the hedge in the Cricket sports event, and she is also the one who warns Missy about the ugly rumour going around on a lunchtime (as well as being one of the potential culprits.) She's the kind of girl who goes running for fun and is always picked first for sport. Also, Missy has a sexual fantasy in which this powerful athlete overpowers and ravishes her, (which she mentions in the dream sequence.)

If these things passed your notice, that's understandable, as up until now, she's had one of the default schoolgirl faces and little to distinguish her. However, in this chapter, she'll be our first new recruit to the wrestling club. And she now also has her own face set.

More of Missy's classmates will get this treatment as time goes on, ensuring players get to know them as individuals and not merely generic schoolgirls. We'll be meeting the next member of the wrestling club on Monday, and until then, have a great weekend!
