Couldn’t agree more. Tucker & Eric objectively should be ahead in the race by hours. But production keeps taking away their lead. I also noticed on the rewatch that express passes have to be used in the 8th Leg, so this will be done to justify why Tucker/Eric end up in 3rd. Bet a u-turn gets offered in Ep9 or 10 to get them out.

Because next episode the express pass has to be used or its nullified. So we know they are going to give a hard challenge for the non pets for the express pass to be used "smartly" to make potato chip look good some how. Also if Tucker and Eric lose it's million percent rigged because they have been dominating this whole season to where I have no idea how they get knocked out without production interference.

The whole travel agency thing shone a crack into the faux good guy charade he puts on because the "just" thing would be to respect the rules and let the team that placed ahead of you check in but when the rules are bent in his favor, he's mute and suddenly "it's whoops! Sorry! Better luck next time!" There's also a weird infantilization he plays into as well where he feigns ignorance at the most calculated times so he can exist within the grey area of plausible deniability. Kyland does this too but Joe is the master of it and never gets held accountable.
