Poll on deciding mind-controlled look for new game!

Hi all! Just a quick poll for you guys regarding the mind-controlled/ hypnotised look for the characters in the new game! Just choose the design you like best, or if you don't like any of them! In any case, just let me know and I'll get them into the game asap!

Poll on deciding mind-controlled look for new game!

The portraits won't be getting bigger than bigger than what's currently in the game now. The goal is to provide something subtle to show that "something changed?" What you said about showing the animation makes sense, I'll try to get a sample of what it would look like in game up soon! Hopefully that would give an idea of what it would be!

I understand! I'll be editing the style that gets selected until it becomes visible in all the displayed resolutions. Thanks for pointing that out!

I share others' concern that these might not read well enough. Are portraits about to get a lot bigger? What is the goal here? That it be like "woah, something changed" when it changes (and be kinda subtle in general), or that it be obvious at a glance? If the former, it may help in evaluating if the variants were animated as flipping between hypnotized and non. If the latter, I don't think any of these meet that goal. For reference, if I maximize the game when running at 1080p, and select a square containing a character's eyes and chin, I get around 85x85 pixels. When I don't maximize it and leave the default window size, I get about 52x52 pixels. (So the default window size has around a third as many pixels in the face as maximized - whether they need to be obvious at a glance or subtle, it's a wide range to work with.) In my browser, the example non-hypnotized is a whopping 238x242, but the options are displayed around the maximized game size. Now, one could assert that I need better eyesight, but when I glance quickly between the options without zooming in it's hardly even clear they're different, even though they are. Things like symbols drawn with thin lines in the eyes, while neat, are visible at what seem to be the source asset size shown in the non-hypnotized example, but that's worlds (21x) away from how big they are the default window size.

I like the glow options a lot, but I'm worried they aren't bright or striking enough to read well, at least from the current portrait size.
