They did say that she helped a lot of spirits of girls, especially ones that were brutally violated, so its not farfetched at all for it to have been entirely her going to save Ayase from the same fate. Especially since Okarun didnt know how to use the abilities then and he was pretty worthless during the parts of the fight he was in control xD

And even currently it works as in their friendship - Momo has the confidence and is navigating the way, while the “shy, shy boy” is learning to carry the weight and grow or literally un-demasculate himself and get his his dick back. A lot of metaphor isn’t restricted to 1 time period. I’ve got manga context tho, this kind of thematic stuff doesn’t go away. What was said in the video wasn’t supposed to reflect negatively on their relationship.
