Just a quick note

Several people asked so I wanted to come on and explain a bit more about the inspiration for the Vending Power chapter.

First and foremost, the chapter was inspired by a throwaway line in the story I was reading. The story is called With Sprinkles by dogbertcarrol. The story is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfic and features Xander getting turned into a Planeswalker (of Magic The Gathering fame) and being sent into the multiverse. In some of the latest chapters, he was in a world that was part of the SCP Foundation.

Anyway, a character is listing off a few of the SCP's that aren't apocalyptic monsters or straight-up death incarnate but are actually interesting or useful, and a pair of vending machines were mentioned. One of which gave items from different random realities. It was seriously just a single line.

And thus the muse stood up and went, "Holy shit! Write about that! That's funny as fuck! Especially in a Japanese setting since there are crazy ass vending machines in Japan!"

Seriously. If you don't know about vending machines in Japan, take a look. Some of them are hilarious, some are skeezy as fuck, and some are just nifty.
