Hey you!
Do you remember the time when waking up at 7AM, organizing your week or eating soup without any help seemed unreachable? And yet, you probably master these skills now?
Your abilities can be improved. The power of growth is inside you.
Never forget how far you've come already. You know how to grow. You know how to keep going. You know how to succeed.
Engage with mistakes, failures and issues. Embrace the journey. Be okay with imperfection, and keep going. Difficulties teach us things that we could never learn otherwise, and we keep these skills with us forever. Complications, adversity and issues will always be on our path. It is a part of humanity. What matters is how we approach them.
Knowing everything already would be pretty sad, don't you think?
People sometimes ask me how I can be talented in multiple areas and while this compliment flatters my ego a lot, I also want to share my little secret with y'all: I try my best to keep in mind that learning is a journey and that to get good at something, I have to allow myself to suck at it first. I love to hate my art. It is an important part of my process and often, when I finish a piece and think that it is the best thing I've made, I also keep in mind that I can't wait to hate it, since it'll mean that I grew.
I am also pretty dedicated to the idea that I don't know the future me and that all I can do for her is to try my best to improve as much as possible, to not limit her opportunities and potential.
I think there is something really sad in saying "I don't know how to do X" instead of "I don't know how to do X yet". What do you think?
Nothing is linear. Today is tomorrow's yesterday. Make room for the future. There is so much hope and relieve in seeing the world through this angle.
Believe in yourself. Be kind to your precious self. You deserve it so much.
Okay, I stop with my blabla, and I hope you have a great day ahead!
Talk to you soon,
Flavie
