I love my job.

Hey you!

I hope you're doing well!

You probably remember Sofiane from a previous photoshoot (one of my favorite so far).

We planned to do this second photoshoot since the day we did the first one. But little things happened (a global pandemic, for example... ahah), and there was always something on the way of this session. But everything happens the way it should so yesterday was the day when magic happened, again.

Sofiane contacted me to create his portfolio, to be able to contact agencies and hopefully become the representation he always needed. His goal is to inspire other trans kids and make their transition a little easier. He is the proud parent of 2 kids and I can't imagine how proud they might be :)

I styled all this shoot, a bit inspired by Honeybear, a non binary black person from NYC that you can discover in the amazing show Betty, where they play their own character. They often wear open jackets and nippies on a pretty masculine and desexualized way and I thought their style could be a great reference for Sofiane.

It was the first time I used my new lens 24-70mm 2.8 and wow! I don't know how I did without this gem for so long! I am such a nerd when it comes to photo gear, and this lens got me so freaking excited! I've waited a few years to be able to afford this tool, and I can't wait to play more with it!

Today, I got contacted by a pretty big brand to potentially work with them, since they apparently like my work and values, and I am freaking out! I hope it'll work out, and if it doesn't something better will show up, I'm sure! :)

I hope you like these pictures and I can't wait to show you more stuff soon :)

Have a great rest of your day,

Flavie.
