Hello you!
How are you doing?
I hope it's warm where you are and the sun shines. Don't forget to step outside to get some vitamin D (I won't judge if you forgot. I do the same)
Here is a different type of posts, because I often get compliments or questions about my jewelry and wanted to share a bit more about it in here.
I don't know for you, but my skin is super picky when it comes to what is allowed to touche it. Which means that I have to be selective when I choose my jewelry.
Which is fine, since I don't want to buy thousands of items, especially brand new and/or unethical.
I always had baby hands. Which is fine when you're a baby. But I'm not a baby anymore, as my grey hair can testify. But my chubby hands never grew old.
And I love hands. I love how useful they are, their movements, their expressions... And I wanted to love mine as well.
So I started accessorizing them with meaningful pretty things that could easily reflect who I am.
I currently wear daily 5 rings, a few tattoos and a bracelet and here is their story, if you care.
_ The older item I have is one of my most simple rings, that I found in my room on top of a furniture when I was living in a shelter. I may have been wearing it every single day since I was 16-ish.
_ Then comes my only bracelet, that my grandma on my dad's side offered me for my 18th birthday, and that I never stopped wearing ever since.
_ I also got an engagement ring at that time from my first love, that I still own, but that I don't currently wear.
_ Got my wrist tattoo with my brother's initial "E" at 18.
_ Then come my 2 hearts palms tattoos, that weren't planned at all, made by Clarisse Amour (based in Paris). I thought they would disappear within a couple months, but here we are, almost 8-ish years later.
_ Then my mother offered me the pretty ring with a blue stone on it.
_ Then I ended up getting my arm tattoo from Manuella Ana (Based in Paris), to cover up another one. I am still in love with it and I am so thankful for this beautiful gift from her.
_ Once I got back to France, I offered myself 2 little silver sterling rings from a fast fashion website to mark this milestone in my life. I wish I bought them from an independent brand, but I honestly had other things to think about at the time. I am kind of surprise of their quality, since they haven't changed at all since I got them.
_ Once I arrived in Nantes, got my "good star" tattoo by my friend Goutte Noire to remind myself to be grateful on a daily basis. I love it, and can't wait to get another one from her when Corona Virus will be over.
_ Talking about this badboy, during the lockdown I finally found a ring that I wanted for years: my bumble bee, made by Lotta Djossou and I just received it. I love it so much. It was super affordable (60€ I think), made in France, and adjustable. I hope it's the beginning of a long love story between us and that it won't break.
The conclusion of this post is that, if you don't like something within you. Have fun with it!
Alright, I hope this post was pleasant.
Take care of you!
See you soon!
