私は高性能ノートパソコンをワークステーションとして使っていたのですが、突然故障してしまいました。
Houdiniで負荷をかけすぎたのが原因ではないかと推測していますが、PCなしで作業を進めるのはなかなか大変でした。
幸い、普段からiPadで絵を描いていたので、どうにか作業を終えることができましたが、改めて思い返してもヒヤリとする経験でした。
年末の厄払いだと思い、クリスマスプレゼントとしてMac Miniを購入しました。年末は計画があろうとなかろうと大きな出費があるものですね。皆さんも私のような苦労をせず、幸せな年末をお過ごしください。
重い絵の作業に疲れたので、次はもう少し軽い作品を描きたいです。新しいMacが届いたら、性能テストも兼ねて3D作業をしてみたいと思います。
The completion was delayed!
I had been using a high-performance laptop as my workstation, but it suddenly broke down.
I suspect that overloading it with Houdini tasks might have been the cause, but working without a PC was quite challenging.
Fortunately, I usually draw on my iPad, so I managed to complete my work somehow, but thinking back, it was a nerve-wracking experience.
I decided to consider it a bit of year-end bad luck and bought myself a Mac Mini as a Christmas present. Year-end always seems to bring unexpected big expenses, planned or not. I hope everyone can avoid the struggles I faced and have a happy year-end.
After working on heavy projects, I feel like doing something lighter next. Once my new Mac arrives, I’m planning to test its performance with some 3D work as well.
