SHOULD THE BEGINNING OF SCARFS BE CONDENSED?

As it is, the beginning of the comic seems to drag out too long and has definitely pushed some people away.
Some people don't mind the beginning! I personally didn't for the longest time, but as time's gone on, I've found better ways to write, and I believe that the beginning of SCARFSCOMIC was a bit too stuck in the test comic mindset of writing. (I had originally planned to make it even LONGER)
Now, let me show you the draft for the first 10 pages condensed into three. (YES, 10.)
Now, you may be asking, "why does it need to be condensed at all?" And my answer is: Well, you might be a test comic reader for one. I'm not sure why that would make a difference, but I feel like test comic readers are still reading in the mindset of test comic. I could be wrong! I just know their knowledge of the series comes from test scarfs and I myself was stuck in that mindset for quite some time too!
pros and cons of condensing:
pros:
Ease in readability
Less likely to lose new readers
Gets the point across quicker
Gets the point across more concisely (Better writing skills now than 2016)
cons:
loss of some vital flair / art
short / montage feeling may either make or break immersion
